Hey Peakers!
Just wanted to send out a BIG THANK-YOU to everyone who has been a member of our Adult Program so far this year, by training with us you have helped us raise $373.50 by donating a portion of every unlimited membership across the first three months of the year. As mentioned earlier, our first quarterly donation is going to Minus18, champions for LGBTQIA+ Youth through social inclusion initiatives, education and advocacy and youth empowerment. For more info on what they stand for and their projects, head to www.minus18.org.au !
For our next quarter from March to the end of June, we will be supporting the RSPCA, specifically the Rescue Team responsible for inspecting and saving animals from cruelty and neglect. Further to this, we will be organising a team to join the Million Paws Walk at Albert Park Lake on Sunday the 28th of May, the added bonus is that we will all be able to meet each other’s fur babies! More on this to come…
Regarding training times for Easter Weekend, they are as follows:
- Good Friday – No Sessions, enjoy a rest day!
- Easter Saturday – As Normal
- Easter Monday – AM only; 8am Skill, 9am Strength, 10am Open!
Lastly, we are slowly starting to implement an online Peak Newsletter, which will help keep you informed regarding the focus of our training program over a given period, what Cycling Events Luke is participating in, which bars/clubs/events Coach Phil is DJing at and/or attending, what Trail Run Jacko is doing next, or where Sarah is performing to help our community get involved in some of the extra curricular activities we all like to indulge in!
