Hey Peakers!

As we roll into Q2 for 2023 it’s time for our April Updates and the next instalment of Peak News!

Charity Contributions – RSPCA Rescue Team & Million Paws Walk

As mentioned in our last update, as a team we donated $373.50 of your membership contributions to Minus18 for the January to March period, and we will be doing the same for the RSPCA Rescue Team for the next 3 Months. Further, a number of us will be taking part in the Million Paws Walk to fight animal cruelty on Sunday 28th May from 11am at Albert Park.

Additional to our club contribution from your membership fees, we also wish to hit a target of $500 additional donations as Team Peak, to make a personal contribution to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need click the link below!

ANZAC Weekend Training Times

Whilst we always do our best to provide training on public holidays, on this occasion our coaching group are taking the opportunity to undertake a team building and planning weekend to help further improve our program, and as such your training and progress! As such despite our efforts to have external coaches come in to cover the sessions on Monday and Tuesday we were unsuccessful, so whilst Saturday’s training will be as normal, we will sadly be closed on Monday the 24th and Tuesday the 25th of April.

Peak Performance & Team Peak Control Test

After a bit of back and forth with Gymnastics Victoria, we have managed to secure the Upstairs and Downstairs Gym at the High Performance Centre (Winsor) from 2-4pm on Sunday the 30th of April to run through routines for the upcoming competition season, and to give you guys an opportunity to test run a competition environment.

We would love for many of you to come down and support the guys hoping to compete this year to help gee them up and add a bit of atmosphere from 2:30pm!

If you will be participating in the Control Test, please email [email protected] so we have a handle on how many are planning to be a part of this important part of competition preparation!

Next Social Event – The Boulder Project

We have booked The Boulder Project in King Street Prahran as our next social event from 6:30-8:30pm on Saturday 6th of May to help us all get out of our comfort zones! The plan is to hit that up and then get some food and drink together somewhere local to Chapel Street for those who are keen afterwards!

To confirm your attendance, please transfer $20 to the below account ASAP, but definitely prior to 30th of April!

Culture – DJ Coach Phil @ Rendezvous Residency

Our multitalented resident DJ Coach Phil is now resident DJ Disco Stu performing at Rendezvous Hotel Cocktail Bar in Flinders Street 5-9pm Friday and Saturday Nights for the remainder of April! If looking to have a few cocktails to some killer tunes prior to heading out, or some post work drinks and snacks (I personally recommend the lobster roll or the oysters!) head on down!

Keep on Peaking!
